17 th October 2016 – After celebrating the 52 nd event, the momentum picks up as British Polo Day heads to Singapore. The event marks the fifth British Polo Day to take place in Singapore and proudly presents an unprecedented celebration of over 20 leading brands celebrating British heritage and craft. British Polo Day proves to be a powerful stage from which Britain can demonstrate its strong relationship with Singapore as a unique business platform.

On Saturday, 5 th November, the British Polo Day Global Series – presented by RJI Capital – returns to the distinguished Singapore Polo Club.

The day will begin with guests being chauffeured from the Mandarin Oriental to Singapore Polo Club in a range of Bentley Motors, the ultimate experience of performance and luxury. They are then to be welcomed by the Champagne Taittinger Reception and the visual feast of Ethan K’s beautifully bespoke crafted handbags.

During a delicious meal, authored by the Mandarin Oriental Singapore, guests will watch the ‘live entertainment’ of the Brompton Bicycle Polo teams assembling their bikes for a comical competition.

A traditional Quaich experience with Royal Salute 21 Year old whisky introduced by Torquhil Ian Campbell, The 13th Duke of Argyll will then toast the action of a fast-paced demonstration of exhilarating polo.

Following the lunch and ceremony, the ponies will be brought onto the pitch for the Official Opening Ceremony led by the impressive Bentley Bentaygas and closely followed by the RJI Capital British Exiles team and the Royal Salute Singapore Polo Club I team. These two teams will play against each other in their bid for the RJI Capital Plate.

An afternoon tea will provide a welcome break on the terrace of the Singapore Polo Club, providing the perfect elevated view to watch the final match of the day where the Mandarin Oriental Rest of the World team will be up against the Bentley Singapore Polo Club II team for the prized Bentley Cup.Worthy players and delighted guests will come together and raise their glasses
to the day’s winning polo teams collecting their trophies during the Prize Giving Ceremony.
